Sophie Kilburn is a Derbyshire born singer, songwriter and full-time coffee addict who merges melancholic pop with fiery indie-angst. With entrancing vocals that leave you breathless, Sophie fuses evocative lyricism with alt-rock and swaying melodies to form a new cutting-edge sound.
Her official debut single “Alt-Indie Banger” (Fame Magazine) Indigo Fever was released at the end of last year streaming over 65,000 streams on Spotify alone. The track received global praise from premiering in XS Noize Magazine, to featuring in Downton Magazine NY as “an anthem that cuts through the nitty-gritty to ask deep-burning soul questions”. The traction also led to her performing at BBC Introducing LIVE 2019.
From the raw and grit of the indie rock and folk scene, Sophie draws from artists like PJ Harvey, Florence and the Machine, Lana Del Rey and Alt J, as well as, diving into art pop and the blues for extra inspiration. Regardless of what genre, the songs that carry substance are the ones that mean the most to her.
The past years have seen Sophie graduate from the Amy Winehouse’s Artist
Development Programme sponsored by Metropolis Music and the Universal Music
Group, work with an array of the industry finest producers at BMG and Sony and
complete a year-long music residency at Camden Roundhouse, where she went on to become a Young Trustee.

Recently, she has played influential venues from the Troubadour to the 02 Islington, to sharing the stage with (MBE) Shirley Collins at Camden Roundhouse and later ended her residency with a sold-out show.
